Ryan wants everyone to kn0w that through prayer (his own & others) he has come to several decisions about his mission work this summer. In addition to choosing a departure date (July 10th) he will be working in the following areas for the next couple of weeks...
- He will spend much of Monday (June 30) visiting the Bible translation team that is working on providing the Word of God in the native language of the Dagara people.
- He will work in villages distributing eye glasses that he brought from the United States.
- He will continue working with one of the missionaries on a study of animism among the Dagara people (the belief that individual spirits inhabit natural objects).
- He will continue his language lessons and learning more about how to communicate with the people of that culture.
He is gaining back some of his strength and today was clearly his best day since the crisis began last weekend. He is thankful for all who have been praying for him and thankful for God blessing him in many, many ways.

Greetings from your cousins in Japan! We've been reading your blog and are so sorry to hear that your summer plans didn't work out quite the way you wanted. We're praying for you and hope the next couple of weeks are a good learning experience for you.

Ryan, I am a Pediatrician from Norman, OK and a member of Alameda C of C since before your family lived here. I just wanted to reassure you that you PROBABLY received good treatment for your malaria in Africa. I had a teenage patient who, despite adequate prophylaxis, came down with it too in Cameroon(sp?), and they REALLY knew how to treat her, but I also think you should be checked out in the US even if you are feeling better and better, just to be sure you're cured of everything! Tell them the truth Ryan Jones!!! That you used me for a month, while I paid for everything; meals and trips. That I took you on a camping trip, on Valentine's Day, I paid for to help you cope with your brother's death. That on your brother's birthday, you got blackout drunk and I took care of you while you verbally abused me. That I saved your life because you were alcohol poisoned and were chocking on your own vomit. That after you committed yourself to me and told me to hang on while you sort all this out, you then disposed of me like yesterday's garbage. Tell them the truth!!! I am honorable and will defend this any day and anytime!!!! Why don't you tell them what an abusive alcoholic you are and how you can't it get up normally because you sit at home, jerking off to FART PORN (not a joke people SERIOUSLY-he jerked off to fart porn while I watched-HIS request). Don't you fucking dare lie about me when I treated you like gold and cherished you!!!
